Late-night snack

Waiting for food! An hour-long wait for 2 x-large pizzas at a pizza place close to the Purdue campus. PDPsi was in town for a DPhiL party which went great at a rustic old wooden cabin-like club called Rowdy's not unlike Ohio State's own Old School. Well, nearly. We didn't finish the pizzas before we had to leave. Some ppl who shall remain unnamed took a leak in the cleaning supplies closet (through the door in the background). Then the store practically had all its workers come check out the puddle, and while we ate in debauchered silence (which is not all that quiet lol) the pizza place people were talking about how to best kick us out. To avoid a scene, we left before they could have the pleasure of telling us to getthefuckouttahere. Lol, I pried myself away from world of warcraft for this. We take debauchery and belligerence to the next level!

Taken at the 18th Ave entrance to the Journalism Building on campus. We used to be able to cut across to 19th Ave if we followed the path and turned left at the corner in between the Journalism Building and Robinson's Lab, where there's a post office. But Robinson's Lab, around the corner just a little further on the walkway in the pic, was torn down a year ago for a complete overhaul. So the immediate vicinity was blocked off for the construction, and thus the walkway was cut off at the post office (which is pointed out by this official looking noticeboard). What I think is amazing with this noticeboard is that it's actually there to, you know, tell us "yo don't waste your time trying to cut across to 19th Ave cos there ain't no path no more". Which is cool, it'll saves someone 2 minutes of their time and walking energy if they had thought they could cut across to 19th Ave. Now I'm thinking, if this exact construction and building scenario happened in Malaysia, will I see a sign like that? Probably not. What do I care if I think this only happens in America (at least in Ohio, where everyone is nice) and not in Malaysia? Because I see a difference in attitude between how things are run in both places. Y'see, in Malaysia no one's paid to care.

Happy couple

Graduation! Managed to take a picture with the Ohio State University president Karen Holbrook after receiving my diploma. Being the nice sweet old lady that she is, she was taking pictures for at least a coupla hours with the new graduates and their families and friends and whoever who wants to be in a photo with this celebrity academia. I was among the celebrity-awed many. It was worth it though - telling the president of a top-rate academic institution to hold my Winnie-the-Pooh plush toy = priceless! I thought being a graduate having to sit through a graduation ceremony was tuff. It must be hell for President Holbrook and the faculty to do that every freakin semester :p But really, being there at every graduation commencement is the least she could do... she's not getting paid 350K a year to just sit on her ass, sign memorandums, and write advisories to students about safe partying and not rioting after football games.

In the middle of it all

Taken from the floor at St. John's Arena, during my graduation commencement, in the midst of fellow graduates looking out towards the crowd in the stands, and posted live (that's real moblogging)! Seated in the College of Engineering section (check out those funky orange tassels) and waiting to receive our diplomas. We ended up waiting for about 2.5 hours... no big deal really, I've been in school for 5 years, what's another coupla hours. No I was just kidding, it wasn't ok, it was actually boring as balls. Should've brought a magazine onto the floor with me, but my dumbass didn't had the foresight to do that. I did have the graduation program with me, so I occupied myself with reading the program as many times as my amnesiac mind would let me. Yea, if I really have to, I can read the same thing over and over again, mind rinsed, repeatedly fascinated :p No jk, I'm not THAT retarded. yea i know, the picture is teh sucks

Center Of Attention

This picture was taken while we (my fellow graduates in the College of Engineering) were walking to our seats. The graduates in the forefront of this pic are future teachers, indicated by their light blue tassels signifying that they're in the College of Education. My tassel's orange colored, cos engineers are just flashy like that ;)

Asian grocery store

That's the storefront of one of the few asian grocery stores that're close to the Ohio State campus. I hear it's operated by a Malaysian couple, which is pretty cool (the Malaysian Invasion... wooooo yeah!), if it's true that is. I was there to stock up on ramen... the house hasn't 't had ramen in months 'cos I was too poor to get any :P Yea, too poor for ramen. I bring ghettoness to the next level. Bought a whole bunch of Nissin's and Indomie's. If you've been spending money on cheap generic American ramen noodles like Maruchan and Top Ramen, you're missing out! Put your hard-earned money on the real shit, the asian brands. To know if it's asian or not, see if the packaging has asian-looking characters. Yeah that's how I do it. Needless to say I'm pretty gullible when it comes to things. Having tattoos of chinese characters are not going to make you extra yellow though.

We <3 Miller Lite

Left to right... Ryan, Ted, Jason, myself. Ryan's sister is Kristin Kreuk, Ted's always bailing me out of trouble here in America, and Jason's been my roommate the past 2 years. Anyway we were drinking at Miani's, a nice campus bar that's not too close to campus. It's on High and Hudson if you want to check it out. I busted out the digicam I bought for my parents (with their money, of course) and started snapping pics in the bar (I obviously didn't take this one). I have a habit of opening the gifts I buy for people. It was pre-Sony Aerosmith digicam days (predates by a year) but the Minolta Dimage was tiny. Yea I heard a rule of thumb when buying digicams that the size should be inversely proportional to your crotch. Doesn't apply to females. Serious!

House-merize

That's me on the decks at our first 'House-merize Columbus' party, sometime in June 2004. Every semester (quarters actually, that's how we buckeyes do it) me and a bunch of friends try to throw a party at Louis' swanky townhouse in Olentangy Commons, hoping to educate the masses (actually, just to whoever that chooses to drop by) about good house music. Lately I've been playing anything that sounds good (at least that's what I'd like to think), so I don't know if the name housemerize is going to stick.

Pic was taken with a digicam. It was a Minolta Dimage I think, bought it for my parents (with their money, of course). My brother jacked it from them later, that brat.
